The Village in Full Swing

On Sunday, March 29th, it was chilly, the sky was a persistent shade of grey, and we even had a spot of rain to keep us on our toes, but honestly? We wouldn’t have had it any other way. It felt like the perfect setting to welcome the beautiful couples and incredible suppliers who braved the cold to join us at The Village.
Despite the chill, the clearing was humming with life. We were properly blessed to have live music echoing through the canopy from the immensely talented Ribble, Alauna, and Imogen. There is something about a fiddle and a song in the trees that just makes the air feel different. Between the sets, we were thoroughly spoiled, from delicious tasters to ice cream and drinks. Seeing everyone huddled together, chatting about wedding visions and big dreams, was exactly why we started this adventure.

The highlight of the day was a moment we’ve been waiting for since we first broke ground: our very first Wishing Tree ceremony. It felt only right that the owners of Thoulstone Park, James and Alka, to be the ones to start it off. They hung the very first ribbon, a small, colourful promise of what’s to come. This tree is more than just a landmark; it’s going to be a living record of every couple who chooses to start their journey with us. Over time, those branches will be covered in a kaleidoscope of colour, each ribbon representing a different story, a different "I do," and a new member of the Village family.

Looking around at the community growing here, we felt a huge sense of pride. We’ve put three months of hard, muddy, sleeves-rolled-up work into making The Village what it is today, and seeing it filled with such a talented and wonderful group of people was truly overwhelming. We aren't just building a venue; we’re building a community of couples and suppliers who value the same things we do, nature, connection, and a bit of unpretentious magic. To everyone who came down, grabbed a drink, and wandered the woods with us: thank you. This was an incredible start to our adventure, and believe us when we say, this is only the beginning.
See you in the trees,
Ben & Becca
